Italian giants interested in signing Chelsea flop Alvaro Morata
Chelsea star Alvaro Morata is being chased by AC Milan and Juventus after the striker failed to make Spain’s World Cup squad.
The forward moved to Stamford Bridge last year for £65 million ($A115million) but lost his place in starting line-up after the arrival Olivier Giroud.
With the Spaniard only managing to score three goals in 2018, Chelsea are apparently keen to ship him off quickly.
AC Milan boss Gennaro Gattuso has supposedly held talks with Morata’s agent about adding him to their attack next season, fighting off the advances of Juventus.
A return to Italy could appeal from a personal point of view with Morata’s pregnant wife being an Italian national.
Buffon close to putting pen to paper in Paris
Sky Sports reports that Gianluigi Buffon is very close to signing with PSG.
The 40-year-old, who left Juventus after 17 years, is in talks over joining the French Ligue 1 champions.
PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi recently praised Buffon in an interview with French newspaper L’Equipe, discussing his desire to sign the Italian legend as a backup for Alphonse Areola.
A big-money contract offer could certainly be on the cards.
