From Watches & Wonders 2020: Montblanc’s Heritage Line

The new Heritage timepieces combine the elegance of watchmaking’s past with the bold design codes of today.
Montblanc unveils new models in its iconic Heritage line at this year’s Watches and Wonders Geneva online platform. This time around, the Swiss brand introduced three novelties—inspired by historical Minerva classic wristwatches from the 1940s and 1950s as well as the neo-dandy style of those eras—combining vintage aesthetics with distinctive color associations and refined watch complications.

Uniquely, reminiscent of the neo-dandy style, special attention has been paid to the distinctive colors of dials. From salmon and tobacco-brown to British-racing-green, all of the dials sport distinctive hues further enhanced by technical finishes such as two-tone decoration, a domed-shape and lacquer coatings that require dexterity and expertise to apply.
More importantly, all the watches in the new collection are water resistant to 50m, like all Heritage timepieces. These are the highlights of the new Heritage line:
Inspired by what collectors call the “doctor’s watches,” the maison unveils a brand-new Heritage Pulsograph Limited Edition 100 featuring a 40mm case in 18K rose gold with a distinctive smoked tobacco-brown dial and matching Sfumato alligator strap, reinforcing the trendy vintage style.
On the other hand, as one of the technical pillars of Minerva savoir-faire, the new Heritage Monopusher Chronograph features the latest chronograph design with a domed, salmon-colored dial with black rhodium-coated Arabic numerals and dots for indexes.
Last but not least, the new Montblanc Heritage Automatic comes in 18K yellow gold with a brand-new lacquered British-racing-green dial and a matching Sfumato alligator strap for a vintage look. This new color combination is also enhanced by yellow gold details on the dial.
