For many who are Star Wars lovers, this past Friday was considered Triple Force Friday, and to celebrate, Citizen Watch unveiled its Limited Edition Star WarsTM Collection. The Japanese watch brand, with roots dating back to 1918, has released five new Star Wars watches that will be sold exclusively on Amazon.

The series of watches is inspired by the famed sci-fi films that starred Luke Skywalker and Han Solo of the Rebel Alliance against the darker villain Darth Vader. The watches being released, each retailing for a cool $395. The highlight pieces is a limited edition Luke Skywalker themed piece with details recalling his pilot helmet. That watch is a chronograph with 1/5th of a second timing up to 60 minutes. The 44mm watch also offers 12/24-hour time indication and date. The steel watch is finished with a gray steel bezel and matching Cordura strap.
Complementing the hero watch honoring the leader of the Rebel Alliance, is a Han Solo watch inspired by his blue pants and brown leather belt. Even the strap features this coloring, along with a bright red stripe that was a signature element of his uniform. Each of these editions is being created in a limited series of 1,977 pieces.
There is also a special edition Boba Fett watch, limited to 1,980 pieces, that pays tribute to the bounty hunter character introduced in Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back. This watch boasts an olive green dial with some accent elements recalling his helmet and rockets. A green leather strap completes the look Just 1,980 pieces of this watch will be produced.
Naturally, there would be no Star Wars without the dark side, so Citizen unveils a Darth Vader inspired watch. It is inspired by his bold black armor and the dial has a mesh pattern that is inspired by the villain’s ventilator. The stainless steel case features a matching bracelet. Just 1,977 pieces will be produced.
The fifth timepiece that rounds out the series is the 1,977-piece Death Star watch – recalling the galactic weapon that was instrumental in the futuristic films. This 40 mm watch is made of blackened stainless steel with a matching bracelet. There is a luminous star on the dial, and a silhouette of the tiny space station glows green in the dark.
All of the watches are powered by Citizen’s Eco-Drive technology that is powered by light and needs no battery. They all feature engraved case backs recalling their respective character and each has the number of the watch/edition engraved on it. The watches are sold with a five-year limited warranty that is topped with an additional year when the watch is registered with Citizen.
