Every week, Bazaar’s booking team highlights one name to note, from the industry’s best-known faces to girls who are just starting out. This week, we turn our attention to Camille Hurel.

French models – such as Laetitia Casta, Inès de la Fressange and Audrey Marnay – have long played the role of the muse for Paris’ revolutionary couturiers and have made a lasting impact on the fashion industry. In recent seasons, newer talents including Camille Rowe, Aymeline Valade and Constance Jablonski have proved that the City of Lights will always be one of modelling’s favoured destinations for finding new faces.

The 20-year-old Camille Hurel is arguably the top French newcomer of the year. “Camille is for us exactly what élégance à la française represents. She has this timeless and effortless beauty,” says Osana Ekue at Women Management Paris.

After a coveted debut at Givenchy’s autumn/winter 2015 show, Hurel has continued to be an stunning presence on the catwalk for some of the world’s most prestigious couture labels, making walks for Fendi, Valentino, Chanel, Versace, Alberta Ferretti and Dior appear effortless. With editorial bookings pouring in and her elusive je ne sais quoi, this rising star certainly has the makings of the next big thing.
