Going for a trip to Dubai sometime soon? Then, consider Hatta! A road trip to Hatta is ideal for those who want to squeeze some ‘Me-time’ and yet, do not want to wander far away. Admire the striking scenery along the way, before you reach this quaint little town resting at the foothills of Hajjar Mountains.
Enjoy the splendid views and big splashes through the water puddles at the bottom of the Wadi’s and several small villages as you drive through the Hajjar Mountains. You might also want to pack yourself some titbits to enjoy a picnic and a fun-filled day out.
If you book yourself a tour from Dubai or Abu Dhabi, you are in for a treat, as you will not only enjoy the drive but also indulge in various activities like Hatta Mountain Safari, a photo-stop at the stunning Lehab sand dunes, Heritage Village tour, etc. If you are too lazy to drive back, book yourself a room at the Hatta Fort Hotel, and enjoy leisure time at the splendid property.
A few cautionary tips to remember though! We recommend staying away from this place, during the rains. Also, if you are stuck at some place in the midst of a heavy downpour, head for a high point on the road and wait until the rain stops. Note that flash flooding is common during heavy rains.
Again, as mountains are popular getaways, you might stumble upon drivers who won’t take enough care or attention and drive rashly. So, it is recommended that you hire an experienced driver or ensure you have the patience of a monk.

Always keep important documents, related to car insurance, personal identification and passport, handy. More so, because you will be crossing the borders.
