WHEN it was officially announced in October last year, the HUAWEI Mate 20 Pro brought new possibilities to what can be expected in the almost stale smartphones industry.

Although more than 100 smartphones brands in the world racing to release unique, first, one-of-a-kind technology in their smartphones, one brand is definitely leading the sprint with the capability of the Mate 20 Pro.

The phone’s OLED screen display sports a whopping 6.39 inch size with 16.7 million colours with a resolution of 2K+ 3120 x 1440, 538 PPI, which offers vivid projectory of images on the screen without distorting the real colours.

The best has arrived

What are the characteristics of a great smartphone? One that is not only smart but can keep up with the various needs of its owner, such as running multiple apps, playing games, surfing the web, and at the same time still be able to make as many phone calls as possible.

Powered by a Kirin 980, the world’s first 7-nanometer process mobile phone system on a chip (SoC) chipset, the Mate 20 Pro is simply one of the best and most powerful phones around today.

The processor gives the phone the power and speed it needs to run those heavy-duty applications, making it a world-class device in terms of efficiency.

AI-powered cameras

The HUAWEI Mate 20 Pro sports Leica Triple Camera and one flash in the centre, with simple camera design concept to create an aesthetic signature.

The Leica Triple camera (powered by AI) is able to give life’s drama, texture, colour and beauty in every photograph you take. The AI recognises more than 1,500 scenarios and 25 categories, giving users worry-free photography capability.

The upgraded AI-powered photography now can segment different objects and scenes in one photo.

Colours, brightness and contrast are adjusted automatically and precisely, just like fine-painting a photo, with perfect balance.

The HUAWEI Mate 20 Pro 40MP main RGB lens captures great details in everyday photos, while the 8MP telephoto lens will focus on your distant shots and the 20MP Leica ultra wide angle lens is there for that perfect shots even in a tightest space.

The 24MP front camera which supports 3D depth sensing, the HUAWEI Mate 20 Pro is in a league on its own.

You can also take your HUAWEI Mate 20 Pro for fun to the beach or through the rain. The IP68 rated water and dust resistance means no worry of taking spills, splashes, and dunks.

Wonderful battery

One thing that should matter to users the most is battery power. The HUAWEI Mate 20 Pro has a 4,200 mAh battery pack would definitely let users use it all day long without worrying of having to charge it after a half day of usage.

The phone also comes with 40 W5 HUAWEI SuperCharge with Safe Fast-Charge System Certification, making it a powerful mate you can rely on. In just 30 minutes, you can recharge the battery up to 70 per cent.

Besides that, the HUAWEI Mate 20 Pro also comes with a high speed 15W wireless quick charge.

This phone also supports wireless reverse charging, but what does that mean? If needed, you can share, charge another phone which has run out of juice.

This feature will make you the coolest guy with the best device.

Leading Technology

The HUAWEI Mate series phones are known for their exceptional cameras, which are powered by Leica technology.

If the HUAWEI Mate 20 Pro has the best technologies in a smartphone to date, a better one is coming soon in the Huawei P30 series smartphone, which will be launched next month in Paris France. This time HUAWEI has “upgraded” its camera capability.

It is said that the HUAWEI P30 Pro will be able to take shots once possible with only dSLR cameras.

HUAWEI’s Consumer Business Group’s CEO, Richard Yu, recently uploaded a photo of a full moon on his Weibo social media account, which was believed to be taken with the upcoming P30 Pro smartphone. This is based on the HUAWEI’s camera watermark on the bottom left of the phone, which, although blurred, reveals that the shot was taken with P… Pro and with a Leica Quad Camera, signalling the increase number of cameras on the P30 Pro.

As we all know that HUAWEI has been working on the zoom capabilities of the P30 series, this shot is evident that the phone maker has achieved what it wants in the P30.

By the look of the detailed picture quality of the moon, it can be said that the phone may have the optical zoom quality more than the current 2X.

The photo of the moon is very detailed as is it was taken with a pro camera.

A better phone is coming

The HUAWEI Mate 20 Pro is clearly leading the race in the smartphone arena, but the upcoming HUAWEI P30 phone is better.

As shown by Richard Yu on how fantastic and detailed the moon shot is in his social media page, the upcoming P30 series phone will definitely be the best in its class.

The launch will take place in Paris, France on March 26, 2019.
